All 5 performances of Bless Me, Ultima are SOLD OUT! Opera Southwest will be handling a waiting list for any returned tickets. They will be released for sale to the public on a lottery basis (i.e. folks may put their names onto a waiting list for a drawing) two days before each performance. 10:30 am to 12 pm A great morning of art-making for children of all ages and families of all sizes.   A visit to the museum is included in this artist led workshop, on the first Saturday of every month. We will meet in the Creative Classroom in the Pete V. Domenici Building.  Please pre-register using the link HERE so we can prepare materials. This month, we will be making piñata boxes. Festival Ballet Albuquerque: Sacred Journeys with Robert Mirabal

Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 2 pm Sacred Journeys, presented by Festival Ballet Albuquerque in partnership with the NHCC, is a reflection of our New Mexican cultures and storytelling through dance, music, and spoken word. Our Hispanic culture is prominent in the story “Las Soldaderas,” choreographed by Dominic Guerra and depicting the story of the young lovers and the many brave women who fought in the Mexican Revolution. ¡Salud y Sabor! Greens and Sprouts/Verduras y Brotes

5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Salud y Sabor, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network, Street Food Institute, and the NHCC, is a free evening of food, art, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and culture. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, as well as fun art activities for kids and adults, health screenings, and live entertainment. An emphasis is placed on exploring traditional Hispanic dishes, providing basic information/free screenings (more...)

25th Annual César Chávez Day Fiesta

March—10:30 am Fiesta—12 noon-4 pm Join us in honoring the life and legacy of César Chávez at the 25th annual César Chávez Day Fiesta, with a march—La Marcha de Justicia—beginning at 10:30 am at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and ending at noon on the Center’s Plaza Mayor. Following the march, the family fiesta at the Center includes poetry, dancing, community exhibits, children’s activities and games, food, and live music.
