Baila!’s annual holiday show is a whirlwind extravaganza\, taking audiences on a journey through the sights and sounds of Christmas in New Mexico and Christmases around the World. Music\, song\, and dance with the traditional Southwestern flair that has been cultivated in our state over the generations\, as well as unique segments saluting Christmas traditions from around the world\, will delight theatre-goers of all ages. \nIn 2024\, Baila! Baila! will be celebrating their 35th year in spectacular fashion. Christmas in New Mexico features a large multigenerational cast including dancers as young as six\, as well as Baila! Baila!’s professional company dancers. The performance’s musical guests will be the renowned Mariachi Tenampa with a special appearance by company founder Israela Garcia. Baila! Baila! Dance Academy was founded in 1990 with the mission of educating students in our mission of: “Preserving Our Culture Through The Arts.” \n$34\, $39 & $44 w/ $2 discount for students\, seniors and NHCC members\n*Ticket price includes NHCC Facility fee \n*In accordance with the ticketing policies of the event promoter\, tickets for this event are not permitted to be advertised or re-sold for more than face value. Awaken your heart to the true Spirit of Christmas in dance as Magnify Dance Ensemble will present the 40th season of its Bravos Award-winning holiday production\, Christmas Joy. Over sixty-five classically trained dancers will once again inspire audiences in the National Hispanic Cultural Center’s Albuquerque Journal Theater. They come to us with a collection of moving and inspirational classical ballet\, jazz and contemporary dance performances choreographed to traditional and contemporary Christmas music. \nA moving and uplifting production\, Christmas Joy has become an Albuquerque holiday tradition. Christmas Joy is the recipient of multiple awards including the Bravos Award for Dance Excellence in 1999 by members of the Albuquerque Arts Alliance\, and the Albuquerque Community Live Art and Performance Services (Q-Claps) Applause Award for favorite performance in 2012. \n$34\, $40 w/ a $2 discount for students\, seniors and NHCC members. Group rates available. \nTickets available starting on Saturday\, October 21\, 2023 at the Magnify Dance Studio.
