Noche de Curanderismo will be dedicated to the immersion and celebration of the indigenous healing practices of Latin America and the Southwest. Curanderismo refers to these practices that rely on natural remedies. The community will have an opportunity to explore curanderismo through a limpia workshop.   • Mexican Independence Day Celebration in partnership with the Mexican Consulate

    5:30 – 7:30 pm In collaboration with the Consulate of Mexico, the National Hispanic Cultural Center is proud to host a celebration of Mexican Independence Day featuring vendors, dancing, and much more! On Sept. 15, the Center will be joined by the Consulate of Mexico providing a formal flag unveiling and the traditional Grito, a celebration announcement of independence. The courtyard of the celebration will be adorned with Mexican flags and other decorations.
