Welcome to the 5th annual ¡Cine Magnífico! Latino Film Festival Instituto Cervantes is proud to present ¡Cine Magnífico! to the New Mexico community once again. This festival has become an important event in our community – it marks a transition time between summer and autumn, when families are returning to the routine of the school year. Aki Matsuri (Japanese Fall Festival) 2017 (Rental)

10 am to 5 pm Celebrate the NMJACL’s annual fall festival Aki Matsuri on Sunday, September 17th featuring Japanese cultural exhibits, vendor fair, musical demonstrations, Japanese art, Japanese food, Beer and Sake tastings and more! The New Mexico Japanese-American Citizens League (NMJACL) has been hosting Aki Matsuri (trans.: fall festival) for over twenty years. The festival is the main annual event for NMJACL and serves as a venue to share Japanese and Japanese-American (JA) culture with all of New Mexico. ¡Globalquerquito! – A mini-fest for Albuquerque School Kids

10 am We'd like to let you in on a little secret. Each year, ¡Globalquerque! kicks off with a free concert for our local school kids. This mini-fest features two of our regular performers doing short sets as a way to introduce the kids to some cool different cultures. This year the participating bands are Trad.Attack! Shoes for the Santo Niño

Friday at 7 pm Saturday at 2 pm Shoes for the Santo Niño is the story of Julianita, the youngest of eleven children, who slips out of her home one evening to take a pair of “practical” shoes that she has made to the Santo Niño de Atocha. Directed by Dr. Gary Wayne Pyland, it’s sure to be the most hilarious twelve days ever! 25th Annual César Chávez Day Fiesta

March—10:30 am Fiesta—12 noon-4 pm Join us in honoring the life and legacy of César Chávez at the 25th annual César Chávez Day Fiesta, with a march—La Marcha de Justicia—beginning at 10:30 am at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and ending at noon on the Center’s Plaza Mayor. Following the march, the family fiesta at the Center includes poetry, dancing, community exhibits, children’s activities and games, food, and live music.
