Carnaval 2019: with PANdemonium and Odara Dance Ensemble

7:30 pm The NHCC’s annual celebration of Carnaval is a dazzling spectacle of vibrant dance, engaging music, and beautiful costumes, featuring the band PANdemonium and the Odara Dance Ensemble and showcasing the Carnaval celebrations of Cuba, Trinidad, Brazil and New Orleans. Carnaval, the festive season occurring before Lent in many countries, including Latin American and Caribbean nations as well as parts of the United States, is one of the world’s most widespread celebrations and one of its biggest parties. Revolutions International Theatre Festival: Words from the Walls

Thursday, March 21, 2019 Saturday, March 23, 2019 7 pm both days Produced by Tricklock Company, the Revolutions International Theatre Festival welcomes performance companies from all over the globe to perform and connect across cultures and communities. For the 19th annual festival, Tricklock and the NHCC present Words from the Walls. ¡Cine Magnífico! celebrates Spanish and Latin American culture through presentation of some of the best of modern cinema in a weekend-long program, featuring work by first-time filmmakers and established masters alike. The subject matter runs the gamut from comedies, action, romances and documentary films, to dramatic masterpieces.
