Mayor Tim Keller’s State of the City Celebration

12 pm – 2 pm Albuquerque’s Mayor Tim Keller’s State of the City Celebration—a #OneAlbuquerque Community Celebration with Mayor Tim Keller, with food trucks, live music, local art, and more! The celebration begins at noon, with the State of the City Address at 1 pm. Please note that the live event in the NHCC’s Domenici Education Building has sold out; because of the incredible response for this event, we have added an On-Site Watch Party in the Albuquerque Journal Theatre. 5th Annual South American Folk Fair

2 pm The 5th Annual South American Folk Fair seeks to unite Albuquerque’s South American community in a day of cultural experience and connection through music, dance, and food. The festival will feature traditional food and folkloric dances from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú and Venezuela. Headlining the event will be Houston-based Pachangara, under the direction of Venezuelan percussionist Gerardo Araujo. 11:30 am to 2:30 pm Salud y Sabor is a free late morning/early afternoon of food, art, health, culture, and entertainment that celebrates our communities and connects families with nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and play. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, fun art and movement activities for kids and adults, health screenings, cultural exchange, and live entertainment.  Join us for free samples of local produce and special recipes.
