NHCC Volunteer Clean Up Day

Shift 1: 8:30 - 11:30 am Shift 2: 1:30 - 3:00 pm The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs is proud to play our role in keeping New Mexico enchantingly clean as four of our museums and Historic Sites offer a volunteer clean-up day on Friday, October 18. Volunteers will meet at the NHCC Welcome Center at 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. NM United Hispanic Heritage Watch Party

6:30 – 8:00 pm Soccer clinic in Education grass area 8:00 – 10:00 pm Game Time Please join us as we welcome New Mexico United soccer to the NHCC campus with an exciting Watch Party on our Plaza Mayor. Together we can show some Burqueño support as United takes on Orange County SC. The City of Albuquerque will be providing a big screen so everyone can see the game in style. Siempre Creativo: New Mexico Folk Dance for Seniors

1:30 - 3:30 pm New Mexico Folk Dance for Seniors will feature 4 weeks of traditional Folk dance lessons, including the traditional La Marcha dance, taught by instructor Lucy Salazar. Classes run for four consecutive Wednesdays from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. On the day of the final class, we will dance to live music for a fun-filled dance fiesta! 1st Annual Luminito Celebration

7:00 to 8:15 pm Plaza Mayor | National Hispanic Cultural Center Whether you call them ‘farolitos’ or ‘luminarias,’ come celebrate New Mexico’s distinctive holiday lights at the Center! On Dec. 12, join us for a holiday celebration illuminated by the world’s tallest ‘Luminito,’ a 20-foot-tall, steel-reinforced structure inspired by New Mexico’s traditional holiday lights.
