10:00 am Arte Poquito is a free, monthly, 45-minute program for babies and toddlers ages 0 months to 4 years and their caregivers that cultivates creativity and self-expression through the exploration of Hispanic/Latine arts and culture. Participants explore the NHCC Museum, Performing Arts Center, and engage in artmaking, music, movement, dance, drama, and bilingual story time. NHCC instructors model age-appropriate arts techniques that celebrate self-expression, build vocabulary, and strengthen both fine-motor and gross-motor skills in a fun environment. 10:00 am Head to the Center for our next Early Childhood Bilingual Storytime, featuring The Very Hungry Caterpillar/La Oruga Muy Hambrienta, by Eric Carle! This much-loved children's book tells the story of a tiny caterpillar who is born hungry and eats everything in sight over the course of a week. Free community event. Poetry Reading and Reception with Olivia Romo

6:30 - 8:00 pm Join us at the Center for a reading and reception featuring New Mexico poet Olivia Romo! Olivia Romo is a farmer, poet, and water rights activist from Taos. She earned her duel Bachelor's degrees in English and Chicano/a Studies from the University of New Mexico in 2015. Olivia is also a recognized spoken word artist and storyteller.
