These workshops will provide participating seniors with an opportunity to learn about the descendants of a person, their family, or evolution from an ancestor.   • Saturday Special- Torreón Tour: Mundos de Mestizaje

    11:00 am In addition to our regularly scheduled Thursday and Friday Torreón Tours, the National Hispanic Cultural Center now has a newly added Saturday Tour on the second Saturday of every month. This is a guided tour of the Mundos de Mestizaje fresco created by artist Frederico Vigil, located in the Torreón on the NHCC Campus, depicting thousands of years of Hispanic culture, history, and identity. Admission to the tour is $2 and tickets are available for advance purchase below. Tickets can also be purchased in the New Mexico Mutual Welcome (more...)

The Belen Ranch bringing back the DAHL original sheep brought in with by the Spanish Settlers of 1598. Mr. Donald Chavez has worked and dedicated his time to saving this original heritage herd of Sheep. Using DNA research and methods, he is breeding unique almost extinct.
