The ballet has an ensemble of cowboys, townspeople, dance hall girls, and the important people in Billy’s life, including his beloved Mother, John Tunstall, J.J. Colcha Community Stitch A-Long
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM9:30 am in-person 10:30 am Zoom Our Colcha Community Stich-A-Long is open to all levels of experience in an informal setting. This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught colcha, a Spanish Colonial embroidery style, to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. She is also an award-winning artist, most recently recognized in 2019 at Traditional Spanish Market in Santa Fe. Annette will demonstrate as well as answer questions. Visual Art Museum 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM, United States5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Convergence x Crossroads: Street Art from the Southwest is an exhibition in the Art Museum at the National Hispanic Cultural Center that showcases the vibrancy and ingenuity of the street art scenes in New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, California, and Northern Mexico presenting artworks by artists who identify as Chicano/a/x, Latino/a/x, Indigenous, and Native American.
