2 pm to 3 pm Join us for a performance in Because It’s Time: Unraveling Race and Place in NM with Eric-Paul Riege! Eric-Paul was born in 1994 in Gallup, New Mexico and lives there now. He is a weaver and performance artist who also creates what he calls, “wearable art”. Eric-Paul notes, “I am inspired by being present through my mind, body and beliefs. That happens through remembering my history and my people and my family—how it has gifted me my identity and worldview and craft.” (more...)

Jugamos Juntos: Vamos Afuera—Ultima’s Garden

10:30 am – 12 pm Join us for Jugamos Juntos, summer family programming on Saturday mornings during June and July from 10:30 am to noon. Each Saturday is a different topic and this week, you can explore seeds and plants. Help plant the NHCC herb garden, taste some tea, and make some plant-inspired art to take home. Family Tour with Ultima

2 pm Join us for a family-friendly tour of the NHCC Art Museum exhibition, La Ultima Exhibición. All generations will gain new perspectives about art during this unique museum experience led by María Dolores Gonzales who represents Ultima’s perspective. María Dolores Gonzales is an artist and writer and runs a Spanish language immersion program in Northern New Mexico.
