Utilizing a casino roulette and traditional tarot deck, Balitrónica utilizes various forms of oracular magic to select spoken word texts and props for Gómez-Peña live performance. A collaborative project between Alyshia Bustos and Leah Buechley from UNM's Department of Computer Science, artist Nanibah Chacon, Student Artists from Working Classroom, and the NHCC Art Museum, the Interactive Mural creates shifting soundscapes in response to touch. Reposo: A Hispanic Artist Rests for the Entirety of Hispanic Heritage Month

This performance challenges capitalistic views of labor and human value, the performance of racialized and gendered labor, and examines what it means to be an Hispanic/Latinx/Latine artist working in the art world today.
