After a successful year touring as The Devon Allman Project with special guest Duane Betts, the sons of Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts have joined forces to form The Allman Betts Band. 5th Annual South American Folk Fair

2 pm The 5th Annual South American Folk Fair seeks to unite Albuquerque’s South American community in a day of cultural experience and connection through music, dance, and food. The festival will feature traditional food and folkloric dances from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú and Venezuela. Headlining the event will be Houston-based Pachangara, under the direction of Venezuelan percussionist Gerardo Araujo. Trío Los Andinos

7:30 pm Puerto Rican ensemble Trío Los Andinos, together with Mariachi Nuevo Sonido and pianist and violinist Mariano Morales, performs some of the most beloved compositions by Latin American composers. Much of Latin America’s romantic music has been written for, and traditionally performed by, trios, and the concert is designed to continue and preserve this tradition, as well as uniting the Americas through music. 6 pm to 7 pm Beginning and Intermediate – This class is geared for teenagers and adults. Come learn footwork, partner skills and choreography. No experience necessary. 7 pm to 8 pm Intermediate and Advanced – In order to participate in this class, dancers must know how to keep time, closed position calls, dame, enchufla, and outside turn.
