Today\, Giacomo Puccini’s soaring music continues to enrapture- no matter how many times you may have heard it. \nAlthough Madama Butterfly is best known for its exquisite arias for sopranos\, the long\, wondrously varied love duet that ends Act I is considered his greatest by many Puccini fans. DESCRIPTION:5:00 pm \nNHCC | Albuquerque Journal Theatre \nThe INDIA Association of New Mexico presents the Diwali Festival of Lights 2024. Diwali is one of India’s biggest Hindu festivals\, celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness. The festival lasts five continuous days\, and the third day is celebrated as the main Diwali festival or ‘Festival of Lights.’ Different colorful varieties of fireworks are always associated with this festival. On this auspicious day\, people light up diyas and candles all around their house. They perform Laxmi Puja in the evening and seek the divine blessings of Goddess of Wealth. The festival of Diwali is never complete without the exchange of gifts.
