Colcha Community Stitch A-long
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM9:30 am (MST) on the 4th Tuesday of each month Our Colcha community Workshop is open to all levels of experience in an informal setting. This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught this art form to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. She is also an award-winning artist, most recently recognized in 2019 at Santa Fe Spanish Market. Annette will demonstrate as well as answer questions. This is a great opportunity for friends to hang out, a unique date night option, or a place to come solo and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase. Voces de Latinidad: Community Session featuring Maritza Perez

Each gathering in this series will focus on a different cultural aspect of the question: “Who or what is Latinidad?” Voces de Latinidad aims to feature unique voices from our community culminating in a short documentary and digital archive celebrating the rich diversity of our lived experiences. Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM1:30 pm – 4:00 pm Please join us for 3 consecutive weeks exploring a variety of printmaking processes with artist Carol Sanchez. We will look for creative inspiration in the NHCC Art Museum printmaking exhibition, Nexo Entre Raíces, and experiment with a different printmaking technique in the Education Building. Please wear comfortable shoes for exploring the art museum. Participating seniors may sign up for one, two, or three workshops.
