Located in the Torreón on the NHCC Campus, Mundos de Mestizaje depicts thousands of years of Hispanic culture, history, and identity. Hand and Machine 2023 Interactive Mural Showcase

4:00 pm – 7:00 pm 4:00pm – 6:00pm: Reception 6:00pm – 7:00pm: Remarks by Alyshia Bustos, Nanibah Chacon, Leah Buechley, and Student Artists. Join us for the showcase of Hand and Machine’s 2023 Interactive Mural! A collaborative project between Alyshia Bustos and Leah Buechley from UNM’s Department of Computer Science, artist Nanibah Chacon, Student Artists from Working Classroom, and the NHCC Art Museum, the Interactive Mural creates shifting soundscapes in response to touch. This is a free community event.

Visual Arts Museum: First Sunday Free Admission

10 am to 4 pm The first Sunday of every month the NHCC Art Museum is free to all New Mexico residents. Visit exhibitions such as: Aquí Estamos: New Selections from the Permanent Collection, Southwest of Eden: The Art of Adam and Eve, and Mira Mira on the Wall: Reflecting on 20 Years of NHCC Exhibitions. Bosque Gallery: Virtual Exhibition

“¡Mira! Nuestra Arquitectura: An Architectural Journey” An architectural history of the NHCC, in celebration of our 20th anniversary. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the National Hispanic Cultural Center, the History and Literary Arts program presents “¡Mira! Nuestra Arquitectura: An Architectural Journey,” an architectural history of the Center’s past, present and future. This virtual tour showcases the exhibit as it was presented in Spring of 2021 in the Bosque Gallery.
