Summer Institutes Performances: Voces 2019

6 pm The NHCC’s Summer Institutes—Circo Latino, the Manoa Project, and Voces— students from the Voces writing program will perform selected pieces from their month of intensive writing—poetry, prose, monologues and more. Free public event; suggested donation $5 Thank you to the City of Albuquerque for their support of this program.

Summer Institutes Performances: Voces and Manoa in Braceros: How We Remember

2 pm  Two of the NHCC Summer Institutes for Youth—Voces and the Manoa Project—present a very special performance with the Arizona-based Safos Dance Theater: “Braceros: How We Remember,” a performance of dance/movement with after-performance discussion. Join our teens for an exploration of the reality and legacy of The Braceros Program, based on the NHCC exhibit, “The Braceros Program: 1942-1964 – Photographed by the Hermanos Mayo.”  Located in the NHCC Memorial Park between the Pete V.
