Cardboard Playhouse Presents Disney’s Aladdin, Dual Language Edition

7 pm—Friday 2 pm—Saturday & Sunday Disney’s Aladdin, Dual Language Edition features the Academy Award-winning score from Disney’s animated classic, with lyrics in both Spanish and English and a revamped plot that creates dramatic necessity for the bilingual script. The story begins centuries ago, when the royalty of Agrabah spoke one language and the citizens another. Communication is impossible without translation—which is controlled by the evil vizier, Jafar. Southwest of Eden: The Art of Adam and Eve

This exciting exhibit features approximately fifty works of art from the Joyce Kaser Collection. Southwest of Eden: The Art of Adam and Eve examines the various ways in which New Mexican artists and others visually portray these two famous figures as well as the flora and fauna in their surroundings.  For example, how many apples are featured, or are they pomegranates? ¡Globalquerque!

4 pm ¡Globalquerque!, New Mexico’s 15th Annual World Music & Culture Celebration, returns to the National Hispanic Cultural Center on September 20 and 21, 2019. This year’s festival features three stages of music from five continents over two nights.
