7:30 pm Son Como Son bills itself as “Salsa, Cuban Style.” Founded in 1993, it is unquestionably one of Albuquerque’s longest-standing and most popular salsa ensembles. They play regularly to packed audiences comprising highly animated and dedicated salseros at the NM Jazz Workshop’s Salsa Under the Stars series; at the Cooperage; and at special concerts, such as those at the Telluride Jazz Festival. 4th Annual South American Folk Festival

2 pm The 4th Annual South American Folk Festival seeks to unite Albuquerque’s South American community in a day of cultural experience and connection through music, dance, and food. In addition to food vendors from participating countries, the festival will feature traditional dancers from Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and Ecuador.
