7 pm—Friday 6 pm—Saturday Festival Ballet Albuquerque presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a one-act ballet by Patricia Dickinson Wells commemorating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. The Bard’s most popular comedy, set in a mythical Athens & an enchanted forest, portrays the adventures of 4 young lovers as they interact with woodland fairies, sprites and dragonflies led by Titania and Oberon. Opening Reception: Moving Forward, Looking Back: Journeys Across the Old Spanish Trail

6 pm to 8 pm Join artist and curator Janire Nájera for the opening of her exhibition Moving Forward, Looking Back: Journeys Across the Old Spanish Trail, which explores Spanish heritage in the United States Southwest via the Old Spanish Trail, a route that linked the colonial outposts of New Mexico and California.
