Opening Reception: Moving Forward, Looking Back: Journeys Across the Old Spanish Trail

6 pm to 8 pm Join artist and curator Janire Nájera for the opening of her exhibition Moving Forward, Looking Back: Journeys Across the Old Spanish Trail, which explores Spanish heritage in the United States Southwest via the Old Spanish Trail, a route that linked the colonial outposts of New Mexico and California. 6 pm Mexican Revolution and diplomatic history scholar Heriberto von Feilitzsch presents a lecture tracing the events that led to Pancho Villa’s attack on New Mexico one hundred years ago—on March 9, 1916.
