Broadway Bound LIVE: Audition Masterclass

3:00 – 5:00 pm Join Broadway Bound LIVE hopefuls for an audition Masterclass taught by Elizabeth Gabel. Elizabeth is known for her work in casting on Stranger Things (2022), Logan (2017), Sicario (2015), and Terminator Salvation (2009), among other movies and shows. Elizabeth’s deep knowledge of casting and production make her the perfect person to kick off Season 2 of Broadway Bound LIVE. This masterclass is open to members of the community. Registration to audit the course costs $20. Space is limited.

Carnaval 2023: Homage

7:30 pm Frank Leto and PANdemonium with the Odara Dance Ensemble present Carnaval 2023: Homage! Frank Leto will be celebrating his 18th annual Carnaval performance at the NHCC’s Roy E. Disney Center for the Performing Arts with a production entitled Homage. This unique production will pay respect to the rhythms, cultures and people who have influenced Frank and Pilar Leto. Save the Bees

7:30 pm Friday & Saturday 2:00 pm Sunday Teatro Paraguas and the NHCC present Save the Bees. In this play written by New Mexico Senator Bill O’Neill, we meet two senators: an older urban and liberal senator and his colleague, a younger rural and conservative senator. Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra, 50th Anniversary Concert

3:00 pm The Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra is celebrating their 50th Anniversary Grand Finale Concert! Music Director Byron Herrington conducts Toccata and Fugue in d by J.S Bach, and Latin American Symphonette by Morton Gould on the first half. Then we will have a 20-minute intermission, closing with Symphony No. 2 in D, Op. 73, by Johannes Brahms. Join us in celebrating our 50th Anniversary with cake and coffee after the concert! Festival Ballet Albuquerque: Nutcracker in the Land of Enchantment

Explorar Las Artes: Teatro Conmigo

10:00 am Children 18 months to 4 years and their caregivers explore dramatic arts and even visit the NHCC Wells Fargo Auditorium. This multi-sensory program includes time for socializing and dramatic play. Explorar Las Artes is a free, monthly, 45-minute program for children 18 months to 4 years and caregivers that nurtures creativity and provides bilingual introductory arts experiences balanced with social interaction.
