7 pm A documentary about the 27 women who served in the Spanish legislature in 1977, promoting political change during Spain’s transition to democracy following the end of the Franco regime. Through their personal experiences, the film traces the history of women’s political involvement in Spain up to the present day, and includes a debate between these pioneering women, the “mothers of the constitution,” and women currently serving in the Spanish parliament. 7 pm Folk icon Joan Baez celebrated her 75th birthday in 2016, honoring her legendary 50-plus years in music with a career-spanning live performance at New York’s historic Beacon Theatre. Baez performed with fellow artists and friends including David Bromberg, David Crosby, Damien Rice, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Mavis Staples, Indigo Girls, Richard Thompson, Judy Collins, Nano Stern, and Paul Simon.
