Film: Selections from New Mexico and The Vietnam War: Portrait of a Generation

7 pm Produced by New Mexico PBS, this series of short documentaries focuses on New Mexico’s diverse Vietnam War veterans, families, and refugees whose lives were changed by the war. These are dramatic first person accounts of duty, honor, courage, sacrifice, loss, understanding, and renewal. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Michael Kamins, executive producer, and Tom Baca, a veteran whose story is captured in the film. 10:30 am to 12 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center is pleased to offer free children’s programming during the summer. During June, July, and the first two Saturdays in August, families will be able to come to the Center on Saturday mornings for a new activity every week.
