High School Art Exhibit: Opening Reception
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM2 pm – 4 pm This exhibit, which runs through May 14, will feature artwork created by students from Albuquerque High School and Volcano Vista High School in response to the beloved novel by Rudolfo Anaya, Bless Me, Ultima (1972). The students’ work, also inspired by the novel, compliments the artwork featured in the NHCC Art Museum La Ultima Exhibición, which runs through November 11, 2018. Free public event

¡Salud y Sabor! Nopales and Blue Corn/Nopales y Maiz Azul
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Salud y Sabor, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network, Street Food Institute, and the NHCC, is a free evening of food, art, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and culture. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, as well as fun art activities for kids and adults, health screenings, and live entertainment. A visit to the museum is included in this artist led workshop, on the first Saturday of every month. We will meet in the Creative Classroom in the Pete V. Domenici Building. Please pre-register using the link HERE so we can prepare materials. Jenny and the Mexicats St. Patrick’s Day Dance Party
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM7:30 pm Education Building Grand Hall NHCC and Pop Fizz invite you to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a night of dancing and fun with the world-renowned Jenny and The Mexicats. Known for their infectious style of genre-bending music that borrows from pop, flamenco, reggae, mariachi, jazz, folk and cumbia this band will knock your socks off and keep you moving all night.
