First Friday: Docent Education and Conversation
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM9:30 am – 12 pm On the first Friday of each month, NHCC docents and core volunteers meet for coffee and conversation along with monthly presentations on topics that build the knowledge and skills of the docent core to give tours, educate the NHCC visitors and share the NHCC mission and programs. ¡Vamos al Museo! Valentines with Nick Abdalla
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM10:30 am to 12:00 pm On the first Saturday morning of every month, join us for this fun and engaging docent- and artist-led family program. During the February event, families (limited to 25 participants) will get a 30-minute museum tour focused on the NHCC Art Museum's current exhibit Fantasía Fantástica: Imaginative Spaces and Other-Worldly Collage led by artist Nick Abdalla, whose work you will see in the exhibit. Students visit the NHCC Art Museum for a facilitated discussion about one piece of art or art-making technique, followed by a hands-on art making project inspired in some way by the artwork! ¡HAH! Happy Arte Hour: Valentines with Nick Abdalla

Instituto Cervantes Albuquerque, in partnership with the National Hispanic Cultural Center, presents a new Spanish cooking class: Christmas Recipes! Cervantes & Don Quixote Exhibition
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NMTuesday-Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm Instituto Cervantes presents an exhibition in four parts, paying homage to Miguel de Cervantes, the famous author of Don Quixote de la Mancha, and commemorating the 400th anniversary of his death. The first part, “Quijotes del celuloide,” displays posters from various movies made about Don Quixote over the years.
