This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught colcha, a Spanish Colonial embroidery style, to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. She is also an award-winning artist, most recently recognized in 2019 at Traditional Spanish Market in Santa Fe. Annette will demonstrate as well as answer questions. Chatter: Become Ocean

Disney Center for Performing Arts: Albuquerque Journal Theatre 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM3:00 pm Chatter presents its first full orchestral concert in partnership with the Albuquerque Youth Symphony. The program features Become Ocean by John Luther Adams, a Pulitzer Prize– and Grammy Award–winning composition known for its vast, immersive soundscape that evokes the rising sea. Paired with it is John Coolidge Adams’ Son of Chamber Symphony, a kinetic and rhythmically charged work originally commissioned for the San Francisco Ballet.
