Poets from the 2023 New Mexico Anthology: Workshop

Join co-editors and former poet laureates Michelle Otero and Levi Romero, along with select contributing poets, as they weave together a poetic tapestry evoking the diverse landscapes, cultures, histories, and poetic traditions that define our state. Join us in October as we read Calavera Abecedario: A Day of the Dead Alphabet Book, by Jeanette Winter, and make paper flowers in celebration of the story. In October, we will be reading New Mexico's Moses: Reies López Tijerina and the Religious Origins of the Mexican American Civil Rights Movement, by Ramon Gutierrez. In New Mexico's Moses, Gutiérrez dives deeply into López Tijerina's religious formation during the 1940s and 1950s.
