  • ¡Baile!: Family and Friends & Rueda de Casino (Cuban Salsa) Dance Classes

    5 pm to 6 pm Family and Friends Dance Class - On Tuesday nights in June and July, the National Hispanic Cultural Center is offering Latin American and Hispanic dance classes at 5 pm for families and friends. These classes will foster an intergenerational learning atmosphere. Bring your kids! Bring your grandparents! Bring your neighbors! Learning about the history and culture of the dances will be included. Some dances that may be taught include salsa, bachata, merengue, Mexican ballet folklorico, chachacha, casino, and more.   • Summer Institute Performances: Circo Latino

    Roy E. Disney Center for Performing Arts: Albuquerque Journal Theatre 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM

    Thursday at 5 pm Friday at 10 am The NHCC’s Summer Institutes—Circo Latino, the Manoa Project, and Voces— come see young artists, ages 8-13, present an original show featuring trapeze, juggling, stilting, acrobatics, clowning, live music, and more. Free event with a suggested donation of $5 Deep gratitude to our sponsors who make the program possible: Nusenda Credit Union, Pacific Dental Services, City of Albuquerque Urban Enhancement Fund, Department of Cultural Affairs, and the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation.

  • ¡HAH! Happy Arte Hour

    This date for Happy Arte Hour has been cancelled due to the holiday. Please join us at the next one on August 2! 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm On the first Thursday of the month, NHCC invites adults for artistic fun in a relaxed social setting, which includes snacks, refreshments, and beer & wine for sale from Pop Fizz.   • Jugamos Juntos: ¡Vamos al Museo! With Carol Sanchez

    10:30 am to 12 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center is pleased to offer free children’s programming during the summer. During June, July, and the first two Saturdays in August, families will be able to come to the Center on Saturday mornings for a new activity every week.   • ¡Salud y Sabor! Potatoes/Potates

    5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Salud y Sabor, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network, Street Food Institute, and the NHCC, is a free evening of food, art, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and culture. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, as well as fun art activities for kids and adults, health screenings, and live entertainment.
