For Vamos al Museo on June 4th, in honor of the National Institute of Flamenco’s Festival Flamenco Internacional, we’ll work with tile mosaics in the Spanish tradition.     2 pm Our La Canoa Legacy series features talks by Hispanic-Latino faculty and community researchers with long-standing and accomplished records of research and teaching about New Mexico and the region. The final talk of this season features Aracely Chapa, Director of the Center for Regional Studies, at UNM, talking about the process that resulted in Frederico Vigil's fresco "Mundos de Mestizaje" that graces the wall of the Torreon on the NHCC Campus.     5:30 pm -- 7:30 pm Salud y Sabor, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network, Street Food Institute, and the NHCC, is a free evening of food, art, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and culture. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, as well as fun art activities for kids and adults, health screenings, and live entertainment.
