Jugamos Juntos: Cantando la Cultura
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM10:30 am to 12 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center is pleased to offer free children’s programming during the summer. During June, July, and the first two Saturdays in August, families will be able to come to the Center on Saturday mornings for a new activity every week. ¡Baile! Rueda de Casino (Cuban Salsa) Dance Class
NHCC-Newsletter-August-11-–-246 pm to 7 pm Beginning and Intermediate - This class is geared for teenagers and adults. Come learn footwork, partner skills and choreography. No experience necessary. 7 pm to 8 pm Intermediate and Advanced - In order to participate in this class, dancers must know how to keep time, closed position calls, dame, enchufla, and outside turn. This is a great opportunity for friends to hang out, a unique date night option, or a place to come solo and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. Family Tour with Ultima

All generations will gain new perspectives about art during this unique museum experience the led by María Dolores Gonzales who represents Ultima’s perspective. María Dolores Gonzales is an artist and writer and runs a Spanish language immersion program in Northern New Mexico. ¡Salud y Sabor! Mexico & Chile and Corn/Chile y Maiz
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Salud y Sabor, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network, Street Food Institute, and the NHCC, is a free evening of food, art, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and culture. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, as well as fun art activities for kids and adults, health screenings, and live entertainment.
