This pop-up gives visitors the chance to indulge their macabre side with supernatural goods of all varieties. In collaboration with Dark Red Productions. The NHCC will host the 2024 Dark Red Film Festival, New Mexico’s premier international horror film festival on October 25th and October 26th. Diwali is one of India's biggest Hindu festivals, celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness. The festival lasts five continuous days, and the third day is celebrated as the main Diwali festival or ‘Festival of Lights.' Happy Arte Hour: Featuring Gelli Plate/Monotype with Artist Carol C. Sánchez
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM6:00 pm Our December 5th Happy Arte Hour will feature Artist Carol C. Sanchez and Gelli Plate/Monotype Printmaking. Gelli Plate/Monotype is a basic printmaking process in which an image is created by rolling or painting with ink or paints directly onto a plate and printed onto paper. We will be using gelli plates, which have many possibilities and can be used with a variety of media such as ink pads, watercolor and acrylic paints. 1st Annual Luminito Celebration
Plaza Mayor7:00 to 8:15 pm Plaza Mayor | National Hispanic Cultural Center Whether you call them ‘farolitos’ or ‘luminarias,’ come celebrate New Mexico’s distinctive holiday lights at the Center! On Dec. 12, join us for a holiday celebration illuminated by the world’s tallest ‘Luminito,’ a 20-foot-tall, steel-reinforced structure inspired by New Mexico’s traditional holiday lights.
