Early Childhood Bilingual Storytime: Tía with the Tortilla

10:00 am The art of storytelling comes to life for children ages 18 months to 4 years and their caregivers with the eerie story of "Tía with the Tortilla." Children and caregivers will have the chance to explore the story by acting out the characters, dancing La Varsoviana, and making a tortilla mask. Free community event. AfroMundo Festival: Resistance & Creativity: Afro-Latin Culinary Memory, Power, Resistance & Survival

The foods of Afro peoples continue to incorporate ingredients of ancestral dishes and to preserve African ways of preparing ingredients native to the Americas.
