Among the 300 million people in the U.S., approximately 50.7 million are self-described as being of Hispanic origin. The most populated of these groups in the U.S. include Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Cubans, Salvadorans, Dominicans, Guatemalans, Colombians, Hondurans, Ecuadorians, and Peruvians. At Maravilla 2021, Una Noche Unidos, we will honor the Hispanic countries that continue to leave their mark on the United States (more...)
NHCC Foundation Presents the 5th Annual Women’s Art Show
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM10:00 am to 4:00 pm The Women’s Art Show displays work from approximately 50 female artists who are coming from throughout New Mexico to participate in this show. Half of the artists are coming from the following communities: Chimayo, Taos, Tijeras, Las Vegas, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, Alcalde, Chamita, Espanola, Placitas, Santa Fe, Peralta, Los Ranchos, Santo Domingo, Las Cruces, Anthony, Santa Cruz and Cerrillos. NHCC Foundation: Cinco De Mayo Run
NHCC Campus 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM9:00 am Come early to check in Join RunFit and the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) Foundation for the 1st Annual Cinco de Mayo Run. Participants can choose from the 10K Run, 5K Run or Walk, or Kids K. After the run, stick around for free entertainment for the whole family. Tequila en El Torreón
NHCC Torreón 1701 4th street SW, Albuquerque, NM, United States6:00 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation is hosting a Tequila Tasting Event on June 29th, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the National Hispanic Cultural Center's Torreón. This includes tastings of five different tequilas, led by Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits Director of Mixology Michael Trujillo and a five-course food pairing by Chef Marcus Montoya. Cecilia López, a talented Mexican-American opera soprano known as "The Daughter of Idaho," was born in Rupert, Idaho but currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ms. López's musical career began when she was a little child and began singing mariachi songs that her mother had taught her. NHCC Campus 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM9:00 am Día de Salud, while focusing on overall health and well-being, also aims to celebrate and incorporate the influence of Hispanic culture and traditions. The event recognizes the unique health challenges and perspectives within the Hispanic community and seeks to provide culturally relevant information and resources. By infusing Hispanic influence into Día de Salud, the health fair can effectively reach and resonate with the Hispanic community, promoting a sense of cultural pride, awareness, and empowerment around health and well-being.
