10:30 am Suzanne Stamatov will present, “Colonial New Mexico Families: Community, Church and State 1692-1800.”  The title is from her book of the same name, which will be available after the meeting. In villages scattered across the northern reaches of Spain's New World Empire, remote from each other and from the centers of power, family mattered. In this book Suzanne M. The Red Ribbon Youth Pageant (Rental)

Dinner at 6 pm Pageant at 7 pm The Red Ribbon Youth Pageant is a community collaborative event celebrating National Latino HIV Awareness Day with an evening including a youth pageant and drag performances. Hailed as "gospel titans" by Rolling Stone, the Blind Boys of Alabama first rose to fame in the segregated South with their thrilling vocal harmonies and roof-raising live show. They released their debut single in 1948, launching a 70-year career that would see them rack up five Grammy awards and collaborate with everyone from Mavis Staples and Stevie Wonder to Prince and Lou Reed.
