Premiere: K-12 Social Studies and Language Arts Educational Curriculum for “Mundos de Mestizaje”
5 pm Link Available HERE The History and Literary Arts program presents the premiere of a K-12 social studies and language arts educational curriculum inspired by "Mundos de Mestizaje," the buon fresco masterpiece on the NHCC campus by artist Frederico Vigil. By engaging with images and video of the fresco online, children and young adults, anywhere, are able to explore history, geography, civics, government, literature, and economics through lesson plans and activities. 11 am On Albuquerque’s Classical 95.5 KHFM and 98.7 WFMT-FM in Chicago A live national broadcast of the world premiere performance of the opera Bless Me, Ultima, on Albuquerque’s Classical 95.5 KHFM and 98.7 WFMT-FM in Chicago, hosted by Valerie Martinez. Opera Southwest, along with the National Hispanic Cultural Center and San Jose’s Opera Cultura, is thrilled to have commissioned this work based on Rudolfo Anaya’s best-selling novel.
