    5:30 pm to 7:30 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center, in conjunction with Albuquerque’s annual Women and Creativity series celebrating women’s creativity across the disciplines, invites you to observe Women’s History Month with artist Cynthia Cook.     7 pm A documentary exploring the mechanisms that maintain patriarchal systems and perpetuate economic, cultural, and social inequality and imbalances of power in the 21st century, in the West in general and Spanish society in particular. Patriarchal ideology is revealed in images projected through our modes of communication; feminist thinkers interviewed include Ana de Miguel, Ochy Curiel, Pablo Llamas, Pilar Aguilar, Remedios Zafra, Rosa Cobo, Soledad Murillo, and Yayo Herrero. This olive oil tasting workshop, organized by Instituto Cervantes and the National Hispanic Cultural Center and facilitated by Spanish specialists Alfonso J.   • ¡Vamos al Museo!

    10:30 am to 12:00 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center is pleased to offer children’s programming on the first Saturday morning of every month. This is a fun and engaging artist-led family program.  This month the artist will be Kenny Chavez. Families (limited to 25 participants) get a 30-minute museum tour focused on an art form, source inspiration, artist or type of material.  Following the tour, the whole family can create their own artwork in the Pete V.   • 24th Annual César Chávez Day

    March—11 am Fiesta—12 pm Join the 24th annual César Chávez Day celebration, with a march—La Marcha de Justicia—beginning at 10:30 am at the Dolores Huerta Gateway Park, picking up additional participants at the National Hispanic Cultural Center at 11:00 am, and ending at noon on the NHCC’s Plaza Mayor. Following the march, the family fiesta at the Center includes poetry, dancing, community exhibits, children’s activities and games, food, a keynote speech by Dolores Huerta, and live music.
