    11:00 am – 3:00 pm Join us for arts activities and music during a day that honors the Barelas community, one of Albuquerque’s oldest neighborhoods. Visitors will have a chance to make paper architecture, maracas, and weavings. Join Chuy Martinez and other flamenco performers for sing-along presentations featuring music from the John Donald Robb New Mexico music archives. Barelas neighborhood community organizations, such as Barelas Senior Center, Barelas Community Center, Working Classroom, Los Jardines and more, will be on hand to share information about their programs.     11:00 am (MST) The National Hispanic Cultural Center is offering a guided tour of the Mundos de Mestizaje fresco created by artist Frederico Vigil. Tours of the fresco are offered Thursdays and Fridays at 11am. Located in the Torreón on the NHCC Campus, Mundos de Mestizaje depicts thousands of years of Hispanic culture, history, and identity. Admission for the tour is $2 and tickets are available for advance purchase below. Tickets can also be purchased in the New Mexico Mutual Welcome Center, depending on availability.     7:00 pm to 9:00 pm We are excited to announce Round 6: 48 Hour Film Challenge. In this round, the remaining contestants have been paired with film crews from across the City to write, film, and edit an 8-minute short film in just 48 hours. This challenge will showcase their acting abilities alongside prepared monologues that they have taped.
