
Colcha Class
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM9 am Annette Gutierrez Turk is offering a three-hour class in Spanish Colonial colcha embroidery, giving participants the opportunity to learn the history of this New Mexican style of embroidery. All materials are furnished, and the class is limited to 15 students, ages 12 to adult. The class project will be the creation of the colorful bird featured above. Piñata Artist Justin Favela Creates an Installation Piece This Week
September-2019-Board-Meeting-MinutesWorking in the media of painting, sculpture, performance, and, most importantly, piñatas, Justin draws from art history, popular culture, and his Guatemalan/Mexican heritage. His work has been exhibited across the United States in notable shows at venues including the Petersen Automotive Museum and the Denver Art Museum. ¡Salud y Sabor!: Cuba
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Salud y Sabor, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network, Street Food Institute, and the NHCC, is a free evening of food, art, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and culture. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, as well as fun art activities for kids and adults, health screenings, and live entertainment. Bosque Chile Festival

ABQ Latin Dance Festival 2017: Timbalive
Plaza Mayor7 pm to 12 am The annual Albuquerque Latin Dance Festival, a three-day celebration of rhythm and movement, features performances by world-class dancers as well as non-competitive dance showcases, parties, and workshops. Additional attractions include dance films, lectures, and live musical performances. Mundos de Mestizaje

This monumental fresco depicts thousands of years of Hispanic history highlighting diverse cultural connections between people and places from the Iberian Peninsula to the Americas.
