Visual Arts Museum: First Sunday Free Admission
September-2019-Board-Meeting-Minutes10:00 am to 4:00 pm The first Sunday of every month the Visual Arts Museum is free to all New Mexico residents. We will be closed on January 1st so we are moving our Free Sunday admission to Sunday, January 8th. During this time, visitors are encouraged to explore the NHCC’s Visual Arts Museum art exhibitions.
Opera Southwest: Gioachino Rossini’s Le Comte Ory

Arte Poquito: Canta Conmigo
NHCC-Newsletter-August-11-–-2410:00 am Babies and toddlers up to 4 years old explore the arts through singing bilingual Spanish/English songs using rhythm instruments for accompaniment and a floor piano pad keyboard for toddlers. Mundos de Mestizaje: Torreón Tour
NHCC Torreón 1701 4th street SW, Albuquerque, NM, United States11:00 am (MST) The National Hispanic Cultural Center is offering a guided tour of the Mundos de Mestizaje fresco created by artist Frederico Vigil. Tours of the fresco are offered Thursdays and Fridays at 11am. Located in the Torreón on the NHCC Campus, Mundos de Mestizaje depicts thousands of years of Hispanic culture, history, and identity. Admission for the tour is $2 and tickets are available for advance purchase below. Tickets can also be purchased in the New Mexico Mutual Welcome Center, depending on availability. NHCC will offer three presentations from local art professionals who will provide artists with a sampling of opportunities with the City of Albuquerque, an understanding of how to successfully navigate the challenges of artist contracts and grant writing.
