  • ¡Vamos al Museo!

    10:30 am The National Hispanic Cultural Center is pleased to offer children’s programming on the first Saturday morning of every month. This is a fun and engaging docent and artist-led family program. Families (limited to 25 participants) get a 30-minute museum tour focused on an art form, source inspiration, artist or type of material. Following the tour, the whole family can create their own artwork in the Pete V. Domenici Education Building Creative Classroom.   • Opening Reception, The Art of Christmas: New Mexico Style

    5 pm to 7 pm Join us for the opening reception for the exhibition The Art of Christmas: New Mexico Style, featuring approximately 430 handmade ornaments by more than 125 New Mexican artists that have been collected by the Duran family (Matt, Jeanette, and their son Gabriel) over nearly 20 years. Matt and Jeanette began collecting Christmas ornaments in 2000 and there first tree was only 4 feet tall.   • Winter Spanish Market Weekend at the NHCC

    The 2017 Winter Spanish markets, presented by the Spanish Colonial Arts Society, will be held on the NHCC campus Dec. 2-3. You will find authentic 400 year old traditions and innovative Spanish Colonial style artwork, made by New Mexico artists and enjoy the Hispanic festival.   • NHCC Library Latin Dance Book Collection Open House

    6:30 pm to 8:30 pm The NHCC Library would like to introduce you to its recently acquired Latin Dance Book Collection, made possible through a grant from the New Mexico Library Foundation. Join us Tuesday December 5th from 6:30-8:30 pm to view the books, make free photocopies from the collection, and enjoy a dance demonstration by the Rueda505 dancers at 6:45 pm.
