This monumental fresco depicts thousands of years of Hispanic history highlighting diverse cultural connections between people and places from the Iberian Peninsula to the Americas. Domingos en Arte: The Juani de la Isla Quartet

No experience is necessary to participate in this class. 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm—Advanced Class In order to participate in this class, dancers must come to at least one 6 pm class and be familiar with the vocabulary and movement introduced in these classes. Educator Community Gathering
NHCC-Newsletter-August-11-–-245:30 to 7:30 pm All teachers, administrators, parents, & artists are invited to join us to view the fresco mural, Mundos de Mestizaje, enjoy appetizers and beverages, and participate in discussions about curricula and community needs. The National Hispanic Cultural Center and AmeriCorps VISTA are seeking partnerships with schools, educators, parents, and artists to develop a curriculum for as many K-12 students as possible. POSTPONED: Who We Are, Together: NM Families Project Presentation for Torres & Urioste
History and Literary Arts BuildingThis event has been postponed to a date TBD. Please check back here for further information. 2-4 pm This project engaged 2-3 generations of seven NM families in testing their DNA and researching their family lineage with the help of the NHCC and experts in the field. For seven Sundays these families will present what they learned about who they are, where they are, where they came from, and from whom they descend, followed by dialogue.
