    7 pm Albuquerque master guitarist Gustavo Pimentel (“The Guitarist”) has been exposed to the finest exemplars of guitar music since childhood, beginning his studies in 1974 in the studios of Pimentel & Sons Guitarmakers. He graduated in 1995 from Mexico City’s prestigious Estudio de Arte Guitarrístico. Internationally recognized as a classical guitarist, he has performed in Spain and Germany as well as Mexico City.     2 pm Please join us and author Dave Gutierrez for a presentation of his book Patriots from the Barrio. Mr. Gutierrez will relate the true story of Company E 141st Infantry, the only all Mexican American U.S. Army unit in WWII. In September of 2017, Hollywood actor/producer Wilmer Valderrama obtained the film rights to the book. Dave Gutierrez is a professional researcher, historical presenter, and writer.     12 pm to 5 pm A Vision of History through Fresco… Mundos de Mestizaje by Frederico Vigil is a mural housed in the Torreón on the campus of the National Hispanic Cultural Center. This monumental fresco depicts thousands of years of Hispanic history highlighting diverse cultural connections between people and places from the Iberian Peninsula to the Americas.
