    11:00 am In addition to our regularly scheduled Thursday and Friday Torreón Tours, the National Hispanic Cultural Center now has a newly added Saturday Tour on the second Saturday of every month. This is a guided tour of the Mundos de Mestizaje fresco created by artist Frederico Vigil, located in the Torreón on the NHCC Campus, depicting thousands of years of Hispanic culture, history, and identity.   • Mexican Independence Day Celebration in partnership with the Mexican Consulate

    5:30 – 7:30 pm In collaboration with the Consulate of Mexico, the National Hispanic Cultural Center is proud to host a celebration of Mexican Independence Day featuring vendors, dancing, and much more! On Sept. 15, the Center will be joined by the Consulate of Mexico providing a formal flag unveiling and the traditional Grito, a celebration announcement of independence. The courtyard of the celebration will be adorned with Mexican flags and other decorations.
