  • Jugamos Juntos: Ciencia en la Cocina

    10:30 am to 12 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center is pleased to offer free children’s programming during the summer. During June, July, and the first Saturday in August, families will be able to come to the Center on Saturday mornings for hands-on art activities, bilingual sing-alongs, outdoor activities in the Bosque and to explore the science of cooking on a rotating basis.   • On Point Dance Studio Presents 2017 Summer Fiesta (Rental)

    6 pm On Point Dance Studio presents our 2017 Summer Recital.   • ¡Baile! Rueda de Casino (Cuban Salsa) Dance Class

    6 pm – 7 pm Beginning and Intermediate - This class is geared for teenagers and adults. Come learn footwork, partner skills and choreography. No experience necessary. 7 pm – 8 pm Intermediate and Advanced - In order to participate in this class, dancers must know how to keep time, closed position calls, dame, enchufla, and outside turn.   • Summer Institute Performances: The Manoa Project

    Thursday—8 pm Friday—8 pm The NHCC’s Summer Institutes—Circo Latino, the Manoa Project, and Voces—join the Manoa Project Teen Ensemble for a stirring performance of a fully produced original show written and created by a group of theatre students who have trained and worked together over four weeks. The performance, inspired by themes of community, agriculture, farming, and our relationship with nature, will be based on the NHCC Art Museum’s exhibit Outstanding in His Field: San Ysidro—Patron Saint of Farmers. $10 w/ $2 discount for students
