• Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the NHCC

    Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 through October 15 and the NHCC has plenty of ways to celebrate. First, with the help of Google Arts and Culture, you can now explore select items from the NHCC Art Museum permanent collection online. You also can see the Mundos de Mestizaje, a 4,000-square-foot painting that is the largest concave fresco in North America, in incredible detail.   • Aki Matsuri (Japanese Fall Festival) 2017 (Rental)

    10 am to 5 pm Celebrate the NMJACL’s annual fall festival Aki Matsuri on Sunday, September 17th featuring Japanese cultural exhibits, vendor fair, musical demonstrations, Japanese art, Japanese food, Beer and Sake tastings and more! The New Mexico Japanese-American Citizens League (NMJACL) has been hosting Aki Matsuri (trans.: fall festival) for over twenty years.     5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Salud y Sabor, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network, Street Food Institute, and the NHCC, is a free evening of food, art, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and culture.   • ¡Globalquerquito! – A mini-fest for Albuquerque School Kids
