    12 pm In September, the Bank of America Free Thursday Film Series showcases the ¡Globalquerque! International Cinema Series, presented in partnership with ¡Globalquerque!, New Mexico’s Fifteenth Celebration of World Music and Culture, returning to the NHCC on September 20 & 21.   • Mundos de Mestizaje

    12 pm to 5 pm A Vision of History through Fresco… Mundos de Mestizaje by Frederico Vigil is a mural housed in the Torreón on the campus of the National Hispanic Cultural Center. This monumental fresco depicts thousands of years of Hispanic history highlighting diverse cultural connections between people and places from the Iberian Peninsula to the Americas.   • Who We Are, Together: NM Families Project Presentation for Madrid and Padilla

    History and Literary Arts Building

    2-4 pm This project engaged 2-3 generations of seven NM families in testing their DNA and researching their family lineage with the help of the NHCC and experts in the field. For seven Sundays these families will present what they learned about who they are, where they are, where they came from, and from whom they descend, followed by dialogue.   • ¡Baile! Casino (Cuban Salsa) Dance Class

    6 pm to 8:15 pm 6 pm to 7:15 pm—Beginning and Intermediate Class. No experience is necessary to participate in this class. 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm—Advanced Class In order to participate in this class, dancers must come to at least one 6 pm class and be familiar with the vocabulary and movement introduced in these classes.
