No experience is necessary to participate in this class. 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm—Advanced Class In order to participate in this class, dancers must come to at least one 6 pm class and be familiar with the vocabulary and movement introduced in these classes. Happy Arte Hour is cancelled for the month of November but will resume on December 5, 2019. 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm On the first Thursday of the month, NHCC invites adults for artistic fun in a relaxed social setting, which includes snacks, refreshments, and beer & wine for sale from Pop Fizz.     6 pm Vincent Valdez, a visual artist based in Houston, Texas, received his B.F.A. at The Rhode Island School of Design in Providence in 2000.     12 pm to 5 pm A Vision of History through Fresco… Mundos de Mestizaje by Frederico Vigil is a mural housed in the Torreón on the campus of the National Hispanic Cultural Center. This monumental fresco depicts thousands of years of Hispanic history highlighting diverse cultural connections between people and places from the Iberian Peninsula to the Americas.   • Film: ¡COLORES! The Musical Adventures of John Donald Robb in New Mexico

    7 pm The late John Donald Robb loved and composed all kinds of music, but his passion for the songs of everyday folk is what he is remembered for most. Roaming the countryside of the Southwest during the 40s and 50s, Robb recorded and transcribed over 3,000 Hispano folk songs, the largest collection of its time. This documentary celebrates the life of this adventurous musician and the modern day ethnomusicologists who continue to record and archive New Mexico's disappearing folk music traditions.
