• Siempre Creativo: Mixed Media Design in Nature with Artist Catalina Salinas

    1:30 - 3:30 pm Explore the natural world through lines and patterns using pencils, acrylic markers, and paints on a canvas. This is the first of two sessions with artist Catalina Salinas, and participants are welcomed to attend one or both sessions. These workshops are part of the NHCC’s Siempre Creativo program, which provides free multidisciplinary arts programs for seniors throughout the summer.   • Colcha Community Stitch A-Long

    9:30 am in-person 10:30 am Zoom Our Colcha Community Stich-A-Long is open to all levels of experience in an informal setting. This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught colcha, a Spanish Colonial embroidery style, to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. She is also an award-winning artist, most recently recognized in 2019 at Traditional Spanish Market in Santa Fe. Annette will demonstrate as well as answer questions.   • Arte Para Chiquitos

The program will resume as scheduled in October. 10:00 – 10:45 am Arte para chiquitos is a free, monthly, 45-minute program for babies and toddlers ages 0 months to 4 years and their caregivers that cultivates creativity and self-expression through the exploration of Hispanic/Latine arts and culture.
