    6 pm to 7 pm Beginning and Intermediate - This class is geared for teenagers and adults. Come learn footwork, partner skills and choreography. No experience necessary. 7 pm to 8 pm Intermediate and Advanced - In order to participate in this class, dancers must know how to keep time, closed position calls, dame, enchufla, and outside turn.   • ¡HAH! Happy Arte Hour

    5:30 pm to 7:30 pm On the first Thursday of the month, NHCC invites adults for artistic fun in a relaxed social setting, which includes snacks, refreshments, and beer & wine for sale from Pop Fizz. This is a great opportunity for friends to hang out, a unique date night option, or a place to come solo and connect with fellow art enthusiasts.   • First Friday: Docent Education and Conversation

    9:00 am – 11 am On the first Friday of each month, NHCC docents and core volunteers meet for coffee and conversation along with monthly presentations on topics that build the knowledge and skills of the docent core to give tours, educate the NHCC visitors and share the NHCC mission and programs.     10:30 am to 12 pm A great morning of art-making for children of all ages and families of all sizes.   A visit to the museum is included in this artist led workshop, on the first Saturday of every month. We will meet in the Creative Classroom in the Pete V. Domenici Building.  Please pre-register using the link HERE so we can prepare materials.   • “Hamilton”: Changing the Way We Learn History

    2 pm During this event, teachers and teens will lead an interactive discussion (with music, video and lyrics) about why the School Library Journal calls “Hamilton” a “‘darn near perfect’ teaching tool for history” and how rap, hip hop, spoken word poetry and other popular genres can newly engage young people (and the rest of us) in learning about historical events.   • ¡Salud y Sabor! Nopales and Blue Corn/Nopales y Maiz Azul

    5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Salud y Sabor, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network, Street Food Institute, and the NHCC, is a free evening of food, art, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and culture. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, as well as fun art activities for kids and adults, health screenings, and live entertainment.
